A rigorous and highly specialized selection

Exhibitors are selected by a jury made up of professionals in the fine crafts field and experts in artistic creation.

The aim of the jury is to ensure that the fair has:

  • an outstanding level of quality and originality
  • a carefully balanced representation of the different professions within this sector

  • a satisfactory rate of exhibitor renewal.

To do so, the jury adopts a clearly defined editorial line: the fairs must be resolutely contemporary and exclusively reserved for professionals in the field of fine crafts. Exhibitors are carefully chosen, and the jury ensures that selected designers display a high level of know-how, and a remarkable artistic approach that is sure to thrill the public.

Selection prerequisites:

  • You must be included in the official Fine Crafts nomenclature.

  • Be conducting your activity in a professional capacity

  • Present a project with a refined and elegant scenography

  • You must exhibit the following:
    • objects that are unique or produced in small series
    • Works entirely designed and created in your own workshop
    • Recent works
    • Exclusively contemporary works
    • refonde, bold, elegant and original works

A large and well-informed public

In 2019, 90.6% of exhibitors were “satisfied” to “very satisfied” with the quality of the visitor profile.

Résonance[s] boasts a unique atmosphere based on simplicity and generosity, and creates the ideal conditions for dialogue and exchanges between designers and the public.

A new attendance record was broken in 2019, with 21,000 visitors browsing the aisles of the fair: mostly private individuals, collectors and art and design enthusiasts with discerning, upscale tastes, but also an increasing amount of professionals (architects, galleries, museums and museum shops, furniture stores, specialised gift shops, hoteliers, interior decorators, marketing departments of large companies, fashion designers, etc.).

Widespread advertising

In 2019, 98.2% of exhibitors praised the fair’s advertising methods, with more than 200 media spin-offs.

Make the most of tailor-made communication tools and a targeted advertising plan to increase your visibility and reputation:

  • the purchasing of advertising inserts in the specialized and professional press
  • the purchasing of radio spots
  • editorials in regional, national and border press
  • the printing and distribution of nearly 90 000 advertising media
  • the creation of a new website devoted to the fair

  • numerous promotional actions carried out upstream

A major economic event

In 2019, 57.1% of exhibitors made contact with professional customers, 95.1 % made direct sales during the fair, and 73.1% of them expect to receive orders after the fair.

75% of exhibitors say they are “satisfied” to “very satisfied” with their sales during the fair, with a 37% increase in the average turnover per exhibitor in 2019, which peaked at €5,600.

Every year, Résonance[s] is increasingly being seen as a real business trigger, an essential factor in the sector’s economy, as shown by the number of direct sales made by exhibitors during the last edition, which amounted to more than 1 million euros.

Manning a stand at the fair gives you the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with a quality audience with high purchasing power, and to develop a new clientele and new markets in optimal conditions.

Beyond the general public, Résonance[s] allows you to meet major stakeholders in your market (collectors, architects, designers, decorators, galleries, boutiques, museums…) and thus extend your business and partner network.

Refined scenography

The scenography was approved by 98.3% of exhibitors in 2019.

Over an area of 6,000 m², Résonance[s] maintains top rate aesthetics through appealing scenography to provide exhibitors with a tailor-made and contemporary setting.

Pending the opening in 2022 of the new exhibition centre designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, the 2020 fair is to be held in Hall 1 of the Exhibition Centre (Parc des Expositions) for the first time.

A highly specialized programme

To encourage people to reflect on the fine crafts, their inherent challenges and their evolution, Résonance[s] organizes a yearly series of conferences, all of which are great opportunities for the public to exchange and discover. Films are also screened, and live demonstrations give viewers an insight into the secret world of artistic gestures and fine crafts workshops. Finally, educational workshops for children are organized to allow them to handle the various materials in a concrete and fun way.
This programme is accompanied by other highlights, and culminates with the welcoming of a guest of honor and, for the first time in 2019, a group exhibition, which ended with an auction.

A skilled organiser

In 2019, 98.8% of exhibitors said they were “satisfied” to “very satisfied” with the welcome and the organisation.

“We want to thank you all for the beautiful experience of the Resonances Salon 2019. We have experienced the participation to several fairs and exhibitions for some years now, and we want to congratulate especially with your organization for the special care you dedicate to many aspects such as the elegance, the attention to the exhibitors’ confort and the care for the environmental issues. We liked this experience very much and probably we will submit our application also for next year edition”. Caterina and Norbert
